Europe’s Power Market in Real Time: Cross-Border Trading, Capacity and Balancing in 2027
4 — 5 February, 2027 Berlin
Europe’s electricity market is entering another important period of change.
The continued integration of renewable energy, growing demand for flexibility, increasing congestion and the development of faster, more interconnected trading and balancing arrangements are changing how electricity is traded and how power systems are operated across Europe.
Returning to Berlin for its 12th annual edition, the Energy Cross-Border Trading & Balancing Market Forum will bring together regulators, transmission system operators, power exchanges, energy traders, utilities, generators, aggregators and market experts to examine the latest developments shaping European electricity markets.
Over two days, participants will hear regulatory updates, practical case studies and regional market experiences covering cross-border capacity, day-ahead and intraday trading, balancing platforms, bidding zones, congestion management and the integration of flexibility.
The forum will provide a focused, senior-level environment in which participants can exchange experiences, compare different market approaches and discuss the questions that will define the next stage of European electricity market integration.
The programme is currently being developed in consultation with past speakers, attendees and industry experts to ensure that the 2027 agenda addresses the most relevant challenges facing the market.
